Aquarion Water Company Seeks Nominations for 12th Annual Environmental Champion Awards

Awards program recognizes New Hampshire’s environmental volunteers and sustainability leaders

HAMPTON, NH – March 10, 2025 – Aquarion Water Company today announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 Aquarion Environmental Champion Awards. Now in its 12th year, the awards program honors the remarkable efforts of New Hampshire individuals, businesses, and organizations that contribute to conserving and improving the state’s natural environment.

“Aquarion works hard to be an environmental champion in the communities where we live and work and, as such, deeply appreciates those who share our passion and dedication to environmental preservation,” said Carl McMorran, Aquarion’s New Hampshire Operations Manager. “Each year, we’re astounded by the incredible achievements of residents, businesses, and organizations to support a healthy environment, and we look forward to celebrating them through this awards program. We encourage New Hampshire’s environmental volunteers and sustainability leaders to submit a nomination and help us spread the word about the importance of protecting New Hampshire’s natural resources.”

The 2025 Aquarion Environmental Champion Awards will recognize outstanding environmental contributions in the Adult, Non-Profit Organization, Business, and Student (Grades 9-12) categories. Winners in the Adult, Non-Profit Organization, and Business categories can choose an environmental non-profit to receive a $5,000 grant in their honor. The winner of the Student category will receive a $1,000 award.

The deadline for nominations is May 24, 2025, and winners will be celebrated at a special ceremony on June 19, 2025, at the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
