Life is unpredictable. If you're experiencing financial difficulties, our Flexible Payment Plan helps give you the freedom to pay your water bill over a convenient, flexible payment period. Available to all residential and commercial customers in Connecticut.
Our Flexible Payment Plan gives you the option to pay past-due balances over a flexible payment period of 24 months.
As long as you make your payments, your service will not be disconnected for the duration of the plan. No fees or interest will be charged as long as your plan remains active.
Enroll in our Flexible Payment Plan by making a down payment of 5% of your past due balance, or $25—whichever amount is lower.
If your service was shut off for non-payment, you can get reconnected by enrolling in the Flexible Payment Plan and paying 50% of the total past due amount—inclusive of the reconnection charge—up to a maximum of $1,000.
Customers with medical protection can enroll in a Flexible Payment Plan with no down payment.
If you fall into this category and your service was shut off for non‑payment, you can get reconnected by enrolling in the Flexible Payment Plan and paying 20% of the total past due amount—and the reconnection charge—up to a maximum of $400.
To qualify for medical protection status, customers must complete a Physician's Certification of Illness Form.
A number of additional financial assistance programs are available to help eligible customers who are having difficulty paying their water bills—including our Voucher Program and Connecticut's Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP).
Call Center hours are weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Emergency service is available for all other hours including weekends and holidays.
