System improvements, upgrades and projects
We are continuously working to maintain and improve the water system. Some of the major projects we are currently working on involve the installation of new, or the replacement of existing, equipment and facilities needed to provide safe, reliable water service.
Water Main Replacement in Groton - West Mystic Ave, Orchard Ln, Rowland St, and Rathbun Pl
We will be replacing 4,000 feet of main beginning in September 2024 on West Mystic Avenue, Rathbun Place, Orchard Lane, and Rowland Street in Mystic, Connecticut. Work is expected to be completed in December. Due to construction, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Final paving will then be scheduled in coordination with the town of Groton.
