Aquarion Co-Sponsors Free Admission Day at the Discovery Museum in Bridgeport

On Monday, January 21 in Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. – January 9, 2019 – Aquarion Water Company announced today it will co-sponsor with Pullman & Comley a free admission day at the Discovery Museum on Monday, January 21 in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s theme at The Discovery Museum is “See yourself, be yourself.”

Activities planned for this special day will give children the face-to-face opportunity to see themselves in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) jobs, and speak with leaders in the community who are performing these essential functions.

Aquarion and Pullman & Comley volunteers will be on hand to guide the children throughout the day. The Discovery Museum will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Activities for the day will include:

  • Engineering classroom, sponsored by University of Bridgeport
  • Mini med school, with Dr. Camelia Lawrence and Dr. Angela Campbell
  • Discovery City in the Energy Garage maker space
  • Make-and-takes
  • Live science demonstrations in the Energize CT Theater
  • Shows in the Henry B. duPont III Planetarium
  • Books from Friends of the Bridgeport Public Library
