Water Main Replacement Project Scheduled to Start the Week of August 3, 2026
LAKEVILLE, Conn. – July 27, 2026 – Aquarion Water Authority continues to perform essential work on infrastructure necessary to ensure continued system reliability. A water main replacement project is scheduled to begin during the first week of August on Wells Hill Road in Lakeville. The project is expected to be completed by November 2026, with final paving scheduled in coordination with the Town of Salisbury.
The project will replace approximately 4,125 feet of water main and is part of Aquarion's ongoing program to improve its water distribution system and provide the highest quality water to customers. These infrastructure upgrades will also help reduce leaks and water main breaks that can cause service interruptions.
"We greatly appreciate residents' patience during this project," said Aaron Nezvesky, Aquarion's Manager of Utility Programs. "We will work closely with our customers, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions."
Due to construction activities, customers should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during working hours, which will generally occur from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. David Tinker Excavating, LLC will serve as the contractor for the project.
